Lake Effect Bluegrass Band was established in 2002, and has evolved into one of Central New York's premier regional bands. They present a strongly traditional show, while also giving a nod to contemporary and country favorites. The 6-piece band is made up of what radio personality Bill Knowlton (WCNY) called "veteran Central New York performers", and he featured them on his Radio Barn Dance.
Steve Millett (guitar), Dave Willson (fiddle), Charlie Ingersoll (Dobro) and Karen Campolieto (bass) share the vocal duties, with Gordon Lyons (banjo) and 18-year-old Sean Martin (mandolin) rounding out the lineup.
